Going live
A new workspace runs in the sandbox only. When your integration is ready, a workspace owner asks to go live from the dashboard. Someone from Stridge gets in touch, sets it up with you, and switches your live environment on.
Before you ask
- You need to be an owner. Developers and viewers see the Go live button but can't use it: "Only a workspace owner can ask to go live."
- You need an authenticator app on your account. In live, moving money, making API keys that can move money and changing the team ask for a code from an authenticator app. If you don't have one yet, the dialog shows Set up an authenticator app first with a Set up authenticator button. See Two-factor and step-up.
- Test the flows you'll run in production. Simulate deposits and payouts with the test helpers, and check that your server handles the webhooks.
Ask to go live
In any sandbox page, choose Go live in the Sandbox mode banner at the top.
Under Anything we should know?, tell Stridge what you're building, the volume you expect and when you'd like to launch. The note can be up to 1,000 characters.
The dialog confirms Request sent, and Stridge replies to the email address on your account to book a short call.
After you send the request, the banner button reads Go-live requested. Choose it to see who asked, when, and the note you sent. Asking again doesn't send a second request.
What Stridge does
On the call, Stridge sets up the live side with you, then switches live on for your workspace. There is nothing else to do in the dashboard until then: keep building in the sandbox.
After you go live
Once your workspace is live:
- You have a live environment. The sandbox banner shows Switch to live, and the workspace menu lists both environments. See Environments.
- Live starts empty. Nothing is copied from the sandbox. Create live API keys and live webhook endpoints, and set up your routing policies and treasuries in live.
- Your sandbox stays as it is. Keep using it to try changes before you make them in live.
- Live asks for more. Only owners can manage live API keys and move or direct money, and sensitive live actions ask you to confirm with a second factor. See Team and roles and Two-factor and step-up.
The live environment can't be renamed, reset or deleted.
For the API side of moving from sandbox keys to live keys, see Going live on the Developers surface.
